Backgroundinformation
The last day of the march takes us from Monterosi onto the territory of the City of Rome, Via di Baccanello. Today we also see astounding things: the Church of Ss. Valention e Martino ?at the seven springs besides the road? (apud septem venas iuxta stratam) with its medieval guesthouse; or in Baccano Valley, the reminders of the ancient Roman god Bacchus, who is apparently celebrated in a special way. But gone are the gallows of Monte dell?Impicato, where predatory pilgrims reached their final destination. Length of this stage: 21 km (70% gravel paths, 30% pavement).
